Careers Site Privacy Notice
This notice explains how we handle personal information when you apply for a position with Walmgres or contact us about recruitment.
WALMGRES INVESTMENT LTD (“Walmgres”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller. Our registered office and registration details appear under Entities. For privacy enquiries, contact info@wlmgrs.com.
Information about website visits is covered by our Website Privacy & Cookies notice.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide in your application and recruitment correspondence. This may include:
- Your name, preferred name and contact details.
- Your education, qualifications, employment history and experience.
- Your CV, optional cover letter and professional links.
- Your availability, work authorisation and visa sponsorship requirements.
- Other relevant information you choose to provide.
We also keep records of recruitment correspondence and our assessment of your application, together with the acknowledgements you provide when submitting it. Limited technical information is processed to operate and protect the application service.
Required information is identified on the form. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to consider your application. Optional information is provided at your discretion.
Please provide accurate information relevant to your application. If you include another person’s information, such as a referee’s details, ensure that you are entitled to share it and that they are aware of this notice.
How We Use Your Information
We assess your qualifications, experience, availability and eligibility to work, and communicate with you about your application. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a potential employment contract.
We also use information to administer recruitment, manage duplicate applications, maintain appropriate records and protect the service from misuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in running a fair, effective and secure recruitment process, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Where necessary, we process information to comply with applicable legal obligations, including employment and work eligibility requirements, or for our legitimate interests in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
We do not use automated systems to assess your suitability or make hiring decisions.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain application information while recruitment for the position is ongoing. Once recruitment ends or an application is withdrawn, the continuing need for records depends on outstanding correspondence or complaints, applicable record-keeping requirements and the periods during which relevant legal claims may be brought.
The assessment takes account of the recruitment outcome and closure date, the purpose of each record and any unresolved complaint or dispute. Records used to manage duplicate applications are included in this assessment.
If you join Walmgres, information needed for your employment becomes part of your employment records. You may contact us about the retention period that applies to your application or request erasure as explained below.
Protecting Your Information
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Access is restricted according to responsibilities and business need. No method of transmission or storage can provide an absolute guarantee of security.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to your personal information.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request erasure or restriction of processing.
- Request a portable copy where the right to data portability applies.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for a particular activity, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
To exercise your rights, contact info@wlmgrs.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
You may also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or another competent data protection authority, including in the country where you live or work.
