Who we are

As a new wave of technological transformation gathered pace, Walmgres was founded in 2023 to answer the most challenging questions in quantitative research, high-performance systems and infrastructure automation.

Advances in computing architecture and AI-assisted mathematical discovery are expanding both the questions we can investigate and the methods available to answer them.

Large-scale systems are being built and rebuilt at increasing speed, sometimes overlooking mature technologies and engineering knowledge accumulated over decades. We see considerable potential in bringing these foundations together with emerging research. Our work connects mathematical methods with high-performance and low-latency systems, drawing on a detailed understanding of the underlying architecture, its capabilities and its limitations.

We pursue a deeper level of automation, where the entire system, its behaviour, its workloads and the work of its operators can be studied as a continually evolving dataset. Deeper analysis and an expanding set of tools create opportunities to refine the system, extend its capabilities and improve how it is operated. Research becomes part of its development and operation, with each improvement providing further evidence and new questions to investigate.

The back office develops alongside this work. We integrate automation into its workflows to support greater accuracy, faster processing and a clear flow of information across the organisation. From data handling and reconciliation to reporting and administration, these functions provide the operational foundation that allows research and engineering to progress.
